How do drone light shows work?
Drone light shows are performed by illuminated, synchronized, and choreographed groups of drones that arrange themselves into various aerial formations. Almost any image can be recreated in the sky by a computer program that turns graphics into flight commands and communicates them to the drones.
How long are drone light shows?
Drone light shows typically last for an average of 10 minutes.
How many drones are needed for a light show?
Content drives the number of drones required. Because each drone is a pixel, complex shapes and long words need more drones. 100 to 150 drones is usually the minimum number of drones required for a show although there are certainly applications for using fewer drones.
Why are drones replacing fireworks?
They don’t emit greenhouse gases, they can be reused and recharged using renewable energy, and they leave no lasting imprint on the environment. Drone shows are also safer, quieter (pet-friendly!), and can be performed in areas with fire restrictions.
How much do drone shows cost?
Here’s a list of factors that impact price:
- Drone quantity
- Show design complexity
- Location and logistics
- Travel and accommodation
